Smart apple picking machine
The aim of this project is to develop an autonomous solution for detecting and picking dessert apples.
The following tasks will be completed as part of the project:
– developing a database containing images and 3D scans of apples and aisles in industrial orchards,
– developing a platform capable of autonomously navigating alley in industrial orchards,
– developing a platform equipped with a robotic system for autonomous apple picking,
– developing a system for quality control of picked apples.
All systems will use machine learning and artificial intelligence models. They will be tested first in laboratory conditions, then in controlled field conditions, and finally in the target operating conditions.
The project’s final result will be the commissioning and implementation of an autonomous machine for harvestingdessert apples straight from the tree.
